VA HOME CARE BENEFITS FOR VETERANS

Advanced Care Experts is a trusted VA-contracted provider, helping Veterans access the care they need.

Not all Veterans qualify for the same VA benefits. Eligibility depends on medical needs, service history, and VA approval. Below are some of the most common VA home care programs available to eligible Veterans and their families.

VA Aid and Attendance or Housebound Benefits

Monthly financial assistance that helps cover the cost of in-home care, personal care, memory care, and disability-related support.

VA Community Care Program

Allows eligible Veterans to receive care from approved providers outside of the VA system when certain criteria are met.

VA Homemaker and Home Health Aide (HHA) Program

Provides assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and short-term respite care. This program may be combined with Aid and Attendance benefits when approved..

HOW TO ACCESS VA HOME CARE BENEFITS

1. Visit or contact your local VA clinic.

2. Register with the VA and discuss your care needs with a VA physician.

3. The VA will determine eligibility and coordinate approved services.

4. Choose a VA-contracted home care provider.

Why Choose Advanced Care Experts

Veteran-Directed Care (VDC)

Allows Veterans to hire caregivers of their choice and includes up to 30 days of respite care each year.

Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC)

Provides eligible family caregivers with training, a monthly stipend, and up to 30 days of respite care annually. VA application and approval are required.
